I made my first of what will be many visits to Lucid today, and I wasn’t disappointed. The kava is very good and incredibly priced. They have a wide range of botanical ‘mocktails’ as well as loose leaf tea and coffee/espresso drinks. There’s a small selection of petit four-style baked goods and they carry a handful of canned sodas and bottled waters. The atmosphere is wonderful and didn’t fall victim to the archetypal kava house decor. It’s well lit with lots of natural light, the furnishings are all modern, and it’s very clean. The music is just loud enough to hear if you want to, but low enough to ignore if you don’t. I’m biased as the bartender is a good friend of mine, but the service was fantastic. They also host a number of community activities throughout the week. All-in-all Lucid is a welcome addition to the Tampa Bay Kava scene and unique enough to stand out in the already saturated market.

Best coffee in town. Best prices on Kratom $7 double, $8 Triple, it’s high quality also. It is my new go to. Great atmosphere, high-end, comfortable feel. Staff is great and met 3 owners who are working there on consistent basis. Nice to see owners who care about their customers. They have gone out of their way to make me feel welcome and very personable.

Beautiful coffee shop — wish I could have stayed and hung out! The vibe is super chill and inviting. Location had plenty of parking and seating inside, wonderful, local art (potentially for purchase?) on the walls, community events posted, clean bathrooms, and overall a stellar experience haha The barista was professional and made a delicious iced coffee latte — The chocolate Dubai 🤎 I will be back!

This Kava Bar is perfect for daytime study/work and evening relaxing- staff are friendly and professional, everything is clean to a shine, and the drinks are delicious!

Originally came for a coffee, however the owner was super nice and offered us some samples of kava and kratom. He got us introduced to it and honestly it was great. The coffee was also great obviously.

You can tell they care about quality because every drink tastes carefully crafted rather than rushed. The baristas are genuinely friendly, happy to chat, and always make you feel welcome. They clearly know their stuff and take pride in what they serve. Whether you’re popping in for your daily caffeine fix or settling in for a cosy hour, Lucid delivers every time. Highly recommend!

Lucid Coffee & Kava is my new happy place—and possibly my new defining personality trait. I came in looking for caffeine and calm, and left wondering if I should just move in. The vibe is that perfect mix of cozy, creative, and “I swear I only meant to stay for 20 minutes.” The drinks? Incredible. The coffee hits like a warm hug, and the kava had me relaxed enough to temporarily forget my adult responsibilities. The staff is so welcoming that I’m convinced they’re running some sort of hospitality master class on the side. And of course, one of the British owners deserves a special shout-out. Not only does he make a fantastic drink, but he brings the kind of charming British banter that makes you feel like you’ve wandered into a St. Pete version of a London pub—minus the warm beer, thank God. Ask him about anything and he’ll somehow answer with equal parts wisdom and sarcasm. If you haven’t checked out Lucid yet, you absolutely should. Your future, happier, more caffeinated self will thank you.

I love this place!! Spacious coffee shop with excellent coffee. My favorite has been the matcha latte and the snacks/sweets at the cashier! The protein ball with rose is delicious. There is a large dog park next door.

She’s super charismatic, knowledgeable, and always goes above and beyond to make every visit special. Her consistency and attention to detail are unmatched—whether it’s tea or coffee, she crafts each drink to perfection. You can truly taste the care and expertise in every cup. Lucid wouldn’t be the same without her!

I came here for the night market. They are going to be doing lots of events. This coffee shop is a really cool space. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They are dog friendly and are even next to a big open dog park with a lake. Since it was night I was happy to find out they can do swiss water decaf for any of their espresso drinks so I got the Dubai Chocolate Latte decaf iced. WOW I was impressed. The presentation, the taste so delicious. I can't wait to come back and try some other selections.

What a great place this is! Large tables, great for working, not terribly loud. I happened to sit near the owners and they were chatting with just about everyone there. Really appreciate the time they seem to take to get to know their customers and build community. I'll absolutely be back.

I occasionally peep Google Maps in search of fun, new spots to work from, so when Lucid recently appeared, I was excited to check it out. Great coffee, comfortable seating, good wifi, and friendly staff. (Brittany has got to be one of the sweetest, most kind people I've ever met.) I also tried kratom for the first time and I'm already hooked. Lucid does not disappoint!

One of the best coffee shops in St pete. , I stopped by earlier today to get some coffee for my wife and some kava for myself and the place is phenomenal. The staff is super friendly and the owners are very welcoming.

Great place to go to for coffee and is open later than most other coffee shops. Only been there a couple of times but will go back again.

Lucid is such a sweet little addition to the area! The drink options are yummy and plentiful, the art work is unique, staff is always welcoming, parking is in abundance and it’s the perfect spot to post up and get work done or socialize.

Frank and his staff are incredibly welcoming, and the coffee and kava here are excellent. They were able to answer all my questions about the menu. I especially appreciate how clean the store is and how well it's set up for getting remote work done.

Great atmosphere and the service is incredible. Mama made one of the best matcha latte I’ve ever had. You should definitely check it out they have a lot of weekly specials and must recommend to tray their K teas . Check their instagram to see all events and promotions.

We are so excited for Lucid. The Kava and Kratom are so clean and smooth. Unlike any other we have had. We attended a crystal bowl sound bath our first time put on by Lucid and have enjoyed our following visits!

We had never tried Kava before, but Frank was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us a great intro, sharing the history and benefits behind it. The Kava itself was surprisingly smooth, and the cold brew was excellent—rich, smooth, and not too bitter. Great vibes and friendly staff. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

As someone who appreciates a well-designed atmosphere, Lucid delivers on all fronts. Whether you’re here to work, catch up with friends, or lock in for a study session, the vibe is spot-on. I ordered a latte and the Green Kratom Mojito and both hit the mark. The mojito was refreshing, with fresh basil leaves and just the right amount of lime to keep it crisp without being overpowering. But the standout? That latte. (Damn I love a great Latte) The richness of the beans came through beautifully, balanced with just enough sweetness to enhance, not mask, the flavor. The aroma alone was enough to make me consider a second round. If you’re looking for an elevated caffeine experience, you’ve absolutely stumbled onto the right place. Best coffee in the area. Kava and Kratom is phenomenal and clean. Only place in Pinellas County I can enjoy the products without the need of tons of sugar and additives to make it tolerable. I come to get some work done and chill, the owners are respectful and the coolest people in town. Highly recommend.

I recently visited Lucid Coffee and Kava and I cannot recommend highly enough! From the moment I walked in, I felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere that instantly put me at ease. Mala took my order and she was on her game. She answered all my questions and had a great attitude. I got an espresso and by far the strongest I’ve had in St. Pete. If you’re looking for a Great cup of coffee or Kava with good atmosphere/vibes, make your way over to Lucid. I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Stopped in on Saturday afternoon with my 5-year old son. Wow! Atmosphere/decor is amazing. Had a Kratom Moscow Mule that was refreshing and better than any I've tried around town. Tons of parking and great outdoor space as abuts a park/dog park.

Chill atmosphere good drinks and great prices. The staff and ownership are amazing. Animal friendly and clean place highly recommend this place to everyone 🙂.

I’ve been to a lot of different Kava bars/coffee shops, but this one certainly takes the cake! They’re clean, they’re friendly, and they have an incredible atmosphere. The vibe is very chill and they have plenty of seating. There is a very nice lakeside view and they’re dog friendly WITH a dog park directly next door! And they’re one of the closest coffee stops by the Gandy, open at 7 am weekdays, 8 on weekends. Come and be Lucid!

Love the atmosphere! Dog-friendly , there’s a dog park right outside and plenty of seating and table space. Perfect for hanging out or working remotely. The drinks and small bites are delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back with my pup.

Instantly one of my new Favorites! Just visited LUCID on their opening weekend, and what a gem! They nailed the build out… Its bright and clean the moment you walk in. I was greeted by a super friendly staff, and the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee and strong Kava! I only intended on popping in but the atmosphere was perfect so I stayed. I tried their Cold Brew and loved it (hints of chocolate and dark berry), the body-Kava was great and the KT-Mojito was a refreshing finisher. You can tell they really care about their community & craft. Whether you’re a coffee/tea nerd or just looking for a chill spot to hang or work, this place hits the mark. Can’t wait to come back. (P. Got a tour before they opened and it's a wonderful space. I know how serious the owners are about quality and atmosphere, had the pleasure of trying prototype recipes over the years. It's a decade's long dream for them. Great community (without alcohol) and solid product is going to come out of this place. 100% Recommend.
